First off, I'd like to preface this journal by saying that I am so sorry we haven't had a Theme of the Week in a few weeks. Both the other admin and myself have been rather distracted lately, but now we're getting the train rolling again. So, without further adieu, let's get on with this week's theme!
What happens after we die? Do we join our loved ones in the next stage of existence? Do we become part of a higher power? Do we simply stop existing and wade in a state of nothingness? Or do we come back to this world in another form of living; rebirth?
No one knows, but this week, we will experiment with the concept of reincarnation or rebirth. Imagine coming back to life with a new identity, having no memory of your past lives. Perhaps there is a way to remember the lives that came before this one. What could the transition from one life to the next feel like?
Happy writings,
Kiarorin

Theme of the Week: Rodents
They're either cute and quirky pets, mischievous and fun-loving. Or they're feral, sick vermin, and fearful of people.
Rodents are very individualistic creatures. Each breed behaves differently. And then each rodent itself all have different personalities. Whether aggressive or sweet, you just can't resist that adorable face.
So what about you? What kind of story or poem can you make with the thought of a teeny tiny mouse or a big ol' beaver? Is it a little pet in cage, being fed the sweetest strawberries and dancing in a human hand? Or is it the plague-ridden rat hiding in the walls?

Theme of the Week: Freeze
From the cold regions of Antarctica to your kitchen refrigerator, our writing will be frozen solid this week.
Sometimes the peaceful rain is refreshingly cool after a hot season. Sometimes you leave that steak in the freezer too long and it gets frostbitten. Sometimes the blizzard kills you with hypothermia. Sometimes depression makes one feel nothing but ice. Sometimes love can melt your cold heart. And sometimes a dish is best served cold.
So get out there and imagine something freezing! Don't forget to wear a sweater.

Theme of the Week: Regret
We've all done things that we regret. Don't you sometimes wish you could reverse time to mend the ills? To have DONE something you should have done? What about your dear characters?
We're on the topic of deep regrets here. The idea of wishing that one could wish they never did what they have done. But this can apply to anyone; you, your neighbor, your little brother, your original characters, anyone.
Regrets feel bad, but they help shape your morality. Just the fact that you regret it means that you know better.

Theme of the Week: Scope
Need to see something very far away? Use a telescope. Need to see something too small for the naked eye? Use a microscope. Whether it's close or far, a scope can help you find what you seek. Even eye glasses are a type of scope. Look through that lens - small or large - what do you see? What do you hope to find?
Magnify your inspiration and snipe your idea. Find your focus, and record your findings.
