It's really choppy and suuuuuper scribbly because I took like 30 seconds to draw each frame. Please fill in the gaps and gloss over the art with your wonderful imagination! I made it in Windows Movie Maker which is an absolutely evil program =o=

Eurovision nightGot myself some ice cream and will be making myself compfy on the sofa so I'm ready for the big, glittery, horrible music, camp, pointless politics, drama that is eurovision. It never disappoints me. :la:

The Echo chamber dilemmaThe promise of the Internet was that unlimited information and experiences would draw us together. But instead it seems to have driven us apart.
For years I've observed this behavior but haven't been able to vocalize it correctly. Originally I called the behavior of collective opinions as "the hive mentality" of the Internet. But that wasn't exactly right and I often got called out on it. The most prominent example was when I made a comic about a guy disagreeing with opinions and being shouted at till he remained quiet, eventually fading into the background with everyone else. The consensus of that comic was that if you disagree with someone you aren't bullied into not speaking, but instead are free to go someplace else where people who do agree with you exist. And you know what? That wasn't what i was trying to convey, but is sadly true. The Internet is not a hive mind. It's many tiny pocket echo chambers of mutual agreements.

If you could erase one thing in the world, what would it be? Would you erase a mistake that you made? Would you erase war? Would you erase the entire planet? Would you erase the typo you just made when writing?
Pink erasers, white erasers, kneaded erasers, wiping off the charcoal from the canvas. Well, what's on that canvas? What needs to be gone, and what is going to replace it?

Wipe off the smudges and make something beautiful.

I think I'd go back to when I was about 12 and repeat the past...When I was a Junior in high school, i had a crush on a freshman cheerleader, but didn't think I was good enough for her...found out years later, she liked me too. Sometimes I wish I could have done things differently...but, If I have to erase everything, then there wouldn't be any point, as I would probably repeat the errors. After all, if you can't change the past, reliving it while enjoyable, would be pointless.

One thing I think I would change would be changing publishers for my first book. It cost me way too much, and I got way too little for the money...self-publishing is difficult when you don't have thousands to spend on promotion...lol
